The church of San Juan Bautista sits at the top of the hill in Deia offering visitors who climbed up through the narrow streets leading up to it some breathtaking views of the surroundings.
The hilltop cemetery in the garden is the final resting home for many of Deia’s famous residents including Robert Graves.
The church dates back to the fourteenth century but the current structure was built around the eighteenth century due to a fire that burned down much of the old church. Inside you will find the Parish Museum with religious art and devotional objects.
There is a mass in Iglesia San Juan Bautista on weekends. The church is also the setting of many weddings for people from all around the world.
